The Royal Navy bus 1731 RN in Sampson Road, Portsmouth Dockyard. It has hit the footbridge connecting the MCD Drawing Office on the right with the Mould Loft on the left. The photographer is looking east along Sampson Road to The Parade. The footbridge is clearly marked "Clear Headroom 12 ft. 6 ins. Warning". The front of the upper deck of the bus has been badly damaged. A uniformed man is holding a broom. A Portsmouth registered motor car RV 9623 is parked on the pavement on the right. Vertical format.
