A close view of the port side of the stern of the tanker Nord Atlantic (1938), dried out in No. 15 Dry Dock in Portsmouth Dockyard, during her reconstruction, taken from the bottom of the dock looking forward and to starboard. The new stern casting is in place but the lower strake of plating has not yet been fitted, although the keel plates have been bolted into position.
