The South Wall of the Tidal Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
Looking west-north-west from the South Wall of the Tidal Basin in Portsmouth Dockyard. The minesweeper Fancy (1943), seen from well abaft the port beam, is alongside the South Wall. A minesweeping winch drum is on the quayside and an upturned 4-wheeled flat bed railway truck is further along the quay. A supporting leg of the transporter crane is in the left background next to a brick building on which "Excellent Steps" is painted. A Town class cruiser is on North Corner Jetty.
