A very close view of the starboard outer propeller shaft A bracket of the battleship Duke of York (1940), taken from the starboard side ahead of the bracket at the bottom of the dry dock in Portsmouth Dockyard, looking aft and to port. The upper cone plate is bolted into position and the lower plate is suspended from the shaft by rope.
