Inside the M.E.D. Apprentices Training workshop in Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire

Inside the M.E.D. Apprentices Training Workshop in Portsmouth Dockyard. This is a corrugated iron building and was built on the site of the Factory that was bombed in 1940-1941. Four open wooden toolboxes are displayed. Although the boxes contain the same range of tools, the contents are organized individually, as shown by the tools fitted in the lids. These four boxes are named B O Libby, K J Blake, R W G Coffin and N Cleveland. A closed toolbox at the far end has the name D A Evans painted on it. These apprentices were all part of the October 1946 entry.
