A group of seamen and two supply petty officers guiding a cargo net loaded with catering stores onto the port side of the upper deck of the light cruiser Belfast (1938) in Portsmouth Dockyard. The stores are packed in wooden cases and a stack of cases are on the deck in the background. The stores include 7 lb tins of suet and 1 lb tins of baked beans. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register lists this series of negatives as "HMS Belfast recruiting campaign".
