Plate
A white earthenware side plate with two bands of narrow black, red and green lines around the edge. 'ELDER DEMPSTER LINES' is inscribed on a garter belt around the company house flag on the base. The maker's mark is also printed on the base. Elder Dempster Lines ran services to West Africa and the Canaries from 1881.
