Lifesaving award
Awarded to Joachim Heinrich Christoph Satow (1794-1850), Pilot Commander of the Port of Riga. Obverse: Head of Alexander I. Legend in Russian script. Reverse: Inscription in Russian script. Bound in a volume of letters of commendation. Awarded for saving the lives of twenty five men in a storm, December 8 1824.
