Pistol
Sea Service pistol. The pistol has a walnut stock, fully stocked to the muzzle and is fitted with a brass trigger guard and a brass butt cap. A single brass ramrod is fitted with a wooden ramrod with a brass tip. The pistol has a steel trigger with a slightly backward curl. A steel belt hook is attached to the side of the stock. The pistol has a flintlock sidelock and a circular barrel which is smoothbore. The calibre is 0.56in. The lockplate is inscribed with the word 'TOWER'. The pistol is decorated on the barrel with a crown over the letters 'GR' which in turn are over an anchor. The barrel is also decorated with a crown over crossed sceptres. The stock bears the inscription 'II P' under a crown and is also decorated with a crown over an arrow, which in turn is over the inscription '1806'.
