This is a black and white print of a painting of the Reverend James Bradley, Astronomer Royal 1742-1762. The original was painted by Thomas Hudson and presented to the Royal Society in 1790 where it remains to this day. The picture shows James Bradley from the waist up, seated and in clerical robes and a white wig, his body turned slightly to his left.
