Carronade, 32pdr
Replica muzzleloading smoothbore carronade on wooden rear chock carriage with quoin elevation. Calibre: 6.25in. Royal cypher of George III on the barrel (1760-1820). Presented to the museum by the Carron Company, the original makers of the carronade. It is one of a batch of non-firing replicas made to re-equip historic fortifications.
