Liverpool halfpenny token. Obverse: Starboard broadside view of a full-rigged ship under sail, crossed laurel branches below. Mainmast pointing to the arm of L. Legend: 'LIVERPOOL HALFPENNY'. Reverse: Arms and crest of the city within crossed branches of bulrush flags. 'DEUS NOBIS HAEC OTIA FECIT 1791.' Inscribed on edge: 'PAYABLE IN ANGLESEY LONDON OR LIVERPOOL' (N's reversed).
