Vertical force compass
Needle balanced on pivot.Needle graduated 0-25 either side of pivot, fitted with a venier scale at each end. Weights on needle arms adjusted by two rods operated from outside bowl.
Fitted in wooden box 13.5 x 6.5 x 3.25"(34.3 x 16.5 x 8.3cm). Fitted on brass mounting 13" (33cm) to fit into compass gimbals.
