Graduations-Semi-circle graduated 0-180, 180-0. The alidade 8.75" (22.3cm) long has a vernier scale at each end. A ball and socket head is attached to back of instrument.
Sights-There is a provision for two detachable sight vanes on semi-circle and two on alidade.
Compass-Dia. 3.5" (8.9 cm) mounted at centre of alidade. Graduated to 8 points, quadrantally in degrees and anti-clockwise to 360 degs.
Complete with a wooden tripod stand.
