Brown glazed earthenware jug, transfer-printed in yellow with a lacey floral design. The pattern is continued on the neck, inner rim and handle. Below the lip is a circular, portrait medallion of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) inscribed 'ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN TO DO HIS DUTY ADML LD. NELSON'.
