Plate
A deep plate with a wavy border decorated in colour on a deep delft-type glaze. It is painted by hand with a portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) inscribed '1805 AMIRAL NELSON'. He is wearing uniform and a hat. The plate has an indented edge and butterflies painted on the rim. A maker's mark is painted on the base.
