Plate
A modern delftware plate with a thick white glaze with deliberate crazing. It is painted in blue with a portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) in the centre. The rim has a decorative blue border and the inscription 'IN MEMORY OF LORD NELSON'. The maker's initiials are painted on the base.
