Jug
Pratt ware jug moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Rear-Admiral Sir Edward Berry (1768-1831). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Berry is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Berry'. They have blue coats with yellow collars, lapels and epaulettes and ochre order ribbons. The inscriptions are moulded on the neck and painted brown. In the background, the sea is painted green with a ship on either side of each portrait. The jug has a brown line round the inside and outside of the rim and another around the base. Berry was Nelson's Flag Captain at the Battle of the Nile.
