Single sheet. Engraving coloured in outline, laid on linen and formerly edged. Scale [circa 1:700,000 (bar)]. The bar scales are in English & French leagues, Dutch miles and Spanish leagues. The border is graduated for latitude. The chart has rhumb lines and a 90 degree variation arc and contains notes on depths and tides. There are five insets: Kinsale harbour [circa1:200,000 (bar)]; Milford Haven [circa 1:95,000 (bar)]; Plymouth Sound [circa 1:70,000 (bar)]; St Malo [circa 1:170,000 (bar)]; and [Hampshire and the Isle of Wight] [circa 1:250,000 (bar)].
