Plaque

An earthenware plaque pierced with two suspension holes. On a cartouche decorated with foliage painted yellow, grey, purple and black, is placed an oval portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). He is depicted in left profile, in uniform with a bag wig rather than a pigtail, the stars of his orders inaccurately shown. The plaque is inscribed 'NELSON . HIS . NO . MORE' above the portrait.
