The bow of a Twaqo junk at Singapore

A close-up view of the port bow of a Twaqo type junk, taken from just ahead of the bow looking aft and to starboard, moored at Singapore. The swim-headed bow has an occuli and a windlass is on the fore deck. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938.
