Hot water jug: P&O
A silver plate hot water jug used by the Peninsular & Oriental Steamship Navigation Company. It has a hinged lid with a small lid ciovering the spout. It has a bowl shaped base with a narrow neck. It is engraved with the P&O 'Rising Sun' crest and the monogram "PO". The collar of the neck is engraved with a circlet of laurel leaves. Engraved on the base are the maker's mark. It is slightly dented in four places.
