Wooden box

Box made of the wood of the ship of the line 'Royal George', which sank at Spithead in 1782. It has an irregular, worm-eaten base and a wooden hinge on the lid. A copper plaque on the lid is inscribed: 'ROYAL GEORGE sunk 1782.'
