A group photograph of seven Jamaican crew members at rest situated at the rear of a masthouse on board the refrigerated fruit carrier Jamaica Planter (1959) berthed in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Three of the crewmen are sitting on a deck hatch. The photographer is standing on either the port or starboard side looking across the vessel. A landmass with palm trees is in the background. This is Slide 7 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Caribbean Cargoes", about his service as Second Officer on board Jamaica Planter (1959) and Port Officer for Jamaica Banana Producers Steam Ship Company based at Kingston, Jamaica from 6 January 1971 to 26 April 1971. The lecture consists of 45 slides.
