Azimuth circle - night
Consists of a metal disc fitted with a prism on one side and a frame with sighting wire on the other; spring pin and two leaf springs for making contact with the terminals at the centre of the compass verge glass (sec254); an electric lamp with cover; a switch for same; two hinged shutters to permit card to be observed and a hinged cover. An aperture with a white line on glass by which verge ring graduations can be read. A spring pin is fitted near the prism carrier which engages in holes in verge ring.
