Six buttons. Five of the buttons have a rope twist edge. Within a raised circular border on a lined background is an anchor. The other button has a rope twist edge. On a smooth circular background is an oval with a rope twist edge and a lined background. With in the oval is an anchor. The buttons could be pre-1812 Royal Navy buttons or post-1812 Merchant Navy buttons.
