Dirk
Straight-bladed dirk, with a square cross-section. The dirk has an ivory grip decorated with longitudinal threads and a square gilt pommel. The gilt crosspiece has quillons ending in acanthus leaves. The straight steel blade is in the form of a diamond section. The black leather scabbard has two gilt lockets the chape is missing. Both lockets have rings and there is a frog button on the top locket. The reverse of the top locket is engraved with the words 'ARCHER DUBLIN', which is contained within an oval around an Irish harp.
