A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Britannia (1887) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is flying the blue peter and a pilot flag. There are no yards on her masts. The passenger ferry/tender Thames (1868) is alongside. Ashore in the left background is the Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 28 (1847). Tilbury is in the background.
