Mariposa (1891)
        
        A 12x10 negative.  A slightly distant starboard very near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Mariposa (1891)  at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames.  She is on charter to the Atlantic Transport Co Ltd and is flying a United States courtesy flag at the foremast.  She has a light line connected from her bow to a tug.  Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background.
