A 12x10 negative. A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Syria (1901) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an awning rigged aft and is flying the blue peter and a pilot flag. A twin funnelled tug is alongside her starboard quarter. Tilbury is in the background.
