About the internship
This internship is for early-career professionals and supports technical skills development, knowledge and understanding in an area of conservation practice deemed ‘at risk’. The intern will contribute to museum projects, in particular the First Light project to transform the Royal Observatory.
Under specialist supervision, the intern will gain hands-on experience in the conservation of horological and scientific instruments, learning how to balance long-term preservation with the display, access and operation of these complex objects, in line with professional conservation standards and ethical guidelines.
The intern will also benefit from funded training, workshops, professional development, and networking opportunities.
