The path in front of the Royal Observatory is currently closed as part of a project to restore Greenwich Park's 17th-century landscape. Please leave extra time to arrive at the Observatory if you are attending an event. We recommend taking the main avenue through the Park for step-free access or arriving via Blackheath Gate, see this map for more details.

Jason Lewis completed his human-powered circumnavigation at the Royal Observatory, just after 12.30pm today. He and his supporters heaved Moksha, his wooden pedal boat, across the Prime Meridian to mark the occasion. There are already pictures of the event on Flickr, which we've saved as our favourites.
