Join award-winning author Justin Somper as he opens the doors to the swashbuckling world of his new book series, Pirate Academy.

The year is 2507, the oceans have risen and a new golden age of piracy is dawning! Jacoby Blunt, Jasmine Peacock and Neo Splice are students in Barracuda Class at the elite Pirate Academy, where their lessons range from Knots Class and Sailing to Combat Workshop. The teachers are, of course, all legendary pirate captains.

Justin will introduce you to the key characters, story and setting of Pirate Academy, as well as the villainous League of True Pirates. In this interactive event on board historic ship Cutty Sark, he’ll get you thinking about your own pirate ship and what lessons you’d like to add to the Barracudas’ timetable.

Pirate Academy has been described by author and former Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell as “a gloriously action-packed adventure, full of characters you really care about.”
