Climate change is one of the most significant threats that we as humans currently face.

We Are Guardians is a highly immersive, leading-edge look at the role of satellites in orbit around Earth - how they monitor the effects of a changing climate, and how the information they provide will be crucial in our fight to reduce harmful emissions.

Planetarium show tickets also include free entry to Earth From Space, a Royal Observatory Greenwich exhibition that takes a detailed look at our world through a satellite’s lens.

We Are Guardians is produced by NSC Creative, part of the National Space Centre in Leicester.

This show contains fast moving images, and is recommended for ages 7+. Under-5s will not be admitted – Ted's Space Adventure is suitable for younger children.

Plan your visit

Can I visit with my child?

Yes! This show is suitable for ages 7+. Children under 5 will not be admitted. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

How long will the show last?

Planetarium shows last up to 30 minutes.

When should I arrive?

The planetarium is part of the Royal Observatory, at the top of a hill with spectacular views across London. Please allow enough time to get to us and aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before the show’s start time, as latecomers cannot be admitted.

Getting here

Can I bring a pushchair?

Pushchairs are not allowed into the planetarium itself but there is a designated buggy park in the foyer.

Can I visit the Observatory too?

You do not need a Royal Observatory ticket to visit the Planetarium. However, if you would also like to visit the historic observatory then you can book a separate ticket here.

What provisions are in place to support those with additional needs?
