For a memorable Valentine's Day experience, head to the Queen's House for a guided drawing workshop facilitated by the artist Federico Baeza-Autillo. 

Learn about the iconic Armada Portrait of Elizabeth I and bring along photos of a loved one to sketch. This event is suitable for all abilities, and art materials will be provided.

Workshop information

  • Duration: 90 minutes.
  • Meeting point: Undercroft, located through the door between the curved exterior staircases.
  • Suitability: Suitable for those aged 16+.
  • Workshop capacity: 12 people.
  • Accessibility: The talk on The Armada Portrait of Elizabeth I will take place in the Queen’s Presence Chamber, located on the top floor of the House. Step-free access is available via lift and access ramps. The workshop will take place in the Undercroft, located on the ground floor.

About the artist

Federico Baeza-Autillo (b.1957) is a recognised Spanish artist who has lived in the UK for nearly 30 years. He has trained in the prestigious San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid and Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts London. His specialism is landscapes using different techniques and materials. 

Federico has exhibited in private galleries across Europe, and his works are part of private collections in Europe, America and Asia.
