In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Requiring the Navy Board to give Orders to the Commissioners for Victualling to make a ship available at Plymouth for receiving the victuals of any ship which may call at that port to refit and to remind the said Commissioners that action needs to be taken over the chronic shortage of victuals at the port in order that ships that have come into Plymouth for cleaning should not be delayed in sailing again for want of victuals. The Navy Board is also to advise whether a Muster should be sent with the Squadron destined for the West Indies. The Captain of the NORWICH has advised that the decks of the NORWICH are badly worn in places and the Admiralty wishes to know to what this is due. An Order is given for the QUEEN to be careened at Portsmouth. They also wish to know when the ANGLESEY will return from cruising so that she can be cleaned and refitted at Plymouth before being sent into the Channel with Provisions for ten weeks.
