In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Copy of a letter from Captain Draper of the HASTINGS now in Lough willy to the Lords Justices of Ireland in which he relates of having become separated from a convoy sailing from St. Christopher to London, Bristol and Plymouth following receiving damage on passage from "a thunderclap" as well as running into a severe storm which caused further damage. He then describes how he eventually reached the northern part of Ireland under jury rig. He concludes by stating that he has little in the way of provisions remaining.
