Admiral John Markham in letters from Lord St Vincent. Letters 1801-2 were written mainly from his family home at Rochetts in Essex during periods of ill health; letters 1804-6 were written when commander in chief of the channel fleet.
A majority were published in the Naval Records Society, volume 28 'The letters of Admiral Markham' (1904).
