Letters from John Galt, author, to Clarkson Stanfield.
One of the letters proposes he and Clarkson should meet to discuss a “dramatic exhibition suggested by your panorama of Venice”, in the Drury Lane Christmas pantomime, 1831. The other dated 31 May 1836, proposes that Clarkson should design a spectacular entertainment to his “The Neophyte…A Babylonian Spectacle”.
