Scrapbook containing certificates, letters, dinner menus, theatre and concert programmes, invitations, order of service, photographs and newspaper cuttings from the career of Hugh Francis Paget Sinclair in the period 1914 - 191937.
There are items relating to Sinclair’s command of the battleship HMS RENOWN (1916) in the Grand Fleet, then appointments as Chief of Staff to Vice-Admiral William C. Pakenham on the battlecruiser HMS LION (1910), Director of Naval Intelligence and Rear-Admiral of Submarines. The loose items include a portrait photograph, a memorandum from staff of the Naval Intelligence Division congratulating Sinclair on his promotion to flag rank in 1920, and souvenirs from the passenger liner BERENGARIA (1913).
