Document signed by James Southerne, Secretary to the Admiralty, fl. 1690-1694.
Enclosure: Extract of a letter from Roger Newton Commander of the SUDADOES in Yarmouth Roads in which he relates that a fully laden Yarmouth Collier dragged her anchor during the night of the 7th and collided with his ship causing a great deal of damage. She appears to be leaking only a little however and he is hopeful of effecting repairs to enable her to continue with her assignment. The names of the Collier, its Master and Owner are given.
