In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Our former order directed the fitting and victualling of the RUPERT, ADVICE, DRAGON and FALCON for service in the West Indies. We now direct you to have these ships fitted and victualled for service in the Channel, manned to the highest complement of men. The RUPERT is to be victualled as the other 3rd Rates and the others for 4 months each. You are also directed to have the HAWK fireship sheathed and fitted as a fireship for the West Indies and furnished with 8 months victuals.
