Loose items from the journal kept by Mary Whitby in Italy, 1823
Loose items from the journal COR/100/2/8. One sheet has a description of scenery including a glacier near the village of Hinterrhein in Switzerland. Seven sheets have journal entries for the period 19 July 1824 to 26 July 1824, beginning at Trieste, including a visit to the grotto at Adelsberg, and ending at Venice. Also a printed poem entitled 'My Night-cap' from a newspaper (with the date 18 May 1821 added in pen), a small pencil sketch, and pressed plant leaves.
