In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Certificate issued following receipt of a letter from Captain Simon Rowe of the DUMBARTON informing that he has no further need of the services of Robert Downing late Cook of the DEPTFROD Ketch. Captain Thomas Berry therefore discharges Downing from HM Service. On the reverse is a further note suggesting that this Item is part of a Petition of Men belonging to the DEPTFORD in pursuit of their Wages. Signed by Nathaniel Bacon, President of HM Colony in Virginnia.
