In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Certificate stating that the signatory has received a letter from Captain Simon Rowe Commander of the DUMBARTON now in James River that he has no further need of the services of Francis Mennis Gunner and therefore discharges Mennis, to which is appended a note recording that Mennis has recently arrived aboard the SEAFLOWER and is to be allowed to return to his home in Greenwich. Signed by Nathaniel Bacon, President of HM Colony in Virginnia, and Arthur Hart.
