In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Letter addressed to Mr Cock from Captain Rowe of the DUMBARTON concerning items saved from the DEPTFORD Ketch by her Crew that are to be brought to him in the James River. He also states that Cock will receive a further letter addressed to Colonel Richard Lee and Colonel Isaac Allerton which he must be sure to deliver. Rowe also wants to know the cost of the Provisions used by the men of the DEPTFORD and for travelling to rendezvous with him. Cock is instructed to ensure that he brings with him all of the items saved from the DEPTFORD together with any cables, anchors and rigging should that be possible. Reference is also made to a windlass as being very useful. Signed by Simon Rowe, Ship's Captain.
