Enclosure: Copy of a letter from Captain [Beawes] in which he complains elaborately that due to its poor conditon his bower anchor cable has parted and that he fears the same will happen to his best bower. He appeals urgently to be supplied with replacement cables in the Downs. Signed by William [Beawes], Commander of the BERKELEY CASTLE.
