In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

The Treasury Commissioners command me, in the absence of Mr Lowndes, to send you the enclosed Invoice and Papers relating to a Shipload on Naval Stores imported from New England by Sir Henry Ashurst and Sir Stephen Evance, pursuant to an Order in Council dated 29th March 1694, a Copy whereof with the Bill of Lading has been sent to you.
You have replied that these Stores have been received according to their directions into the Deptford Yard for the use of the Navy.
Their Lordships direct that you examine the said Invoice and then make out a Bill or Bill of Imprest in the method of your Office for satisfying Sir Henry Ashurst and Sir Stephen Evance for the same according to the purpose of the Order in Council. Signed by John Taylour, Treasury Chief Clerk.
