At the Court Martial held on board the CENTURION at Sheerness, Captain Jonathan Smith, her Commander and Commander-in-Chief of ships in the Thames and Medway, President, Jonathan Austen, late Gunner of the ESSEX prize was found guilty of disobedience and in breach of Article 2 of the Articles of War. He was sentence by the court to forfeit all his wages due on board the ESSEX from 1 October last to the Chest at Chatham. You are directed to take care that the fine laid on him is forfeited accordingly to the Chest at Chatham.
