Assorted correspondence 1824-1827
Includes a photocopy of a printed request by the Mayor of Stockton, in 1824, for a meeting to discuss forming a branch society of the Royal National Institution for the Preservation of Life from Shipwreck. There is also correspondence dealing with the success of, and suggested alternatives to "Captain Manby's Apparatus" (for saving lives from shipwrecks).
